Platanus is a general term for plants belonging to the sycamore genus of the sycamore family. More than 40 years have passed since the planting of the sycamore tree in Nishikicho Children’s Park. Paulownia, Magnolia salicifolia, row of maiden hair trees, Platanus orientalis, Korean mountain ash, Japanese dogwood, Japanese stewartia, and Quercus dentata, a deciduous tree, is a member of the fagaceae family that grows wild in mountains and fields throughout Japan, and its large leaves are used for rice cake wrapped in an oak leaf.
