Muscat Zipang Grape was developed over 10 years by Okayama Prefecture’s Hayashi Grape Research Institute (Tsudaka, Kita Ward, Okayama City) and was registered with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 2014. It is a miraculous agricultural product that was born after a total of over 10,000 matings. When you take a bite, you will be irresistible with the overflowing juiciness of the fruit juice, the elegant and irresistible sweetness, and the refreshing aroma.
Muscat Zipang grapes are a variety that is only allowed to grow by producers in Okayama. In addition, it is a rare grape that can only be grown by established farmers with techniques based on years of experience in the fruit kingdom of Okayama.
Taking advantage of Okayama’s geographical advantage, we would like to develop grapes that can only be grown here, and strengthen Okayama’s agriculture together with powerful local producers. And I want to send it to the world. It seems that it was born from such a passionate thought. As the name suggests, it is a grape that represents Japan, with the hope that it will spread from Okayama to the world. Okayama limited variety that is currently cultivated by about 100 contracted farmers in Okayama Prefecture.
